Our Family Select Chardonnay is from Napa Valley's southern reaches, where the climate is excellent for growing Chardonnay, with chilly morning fog and breezes to preserve acidity and warm, sunny afternoons to ensure ripeness. The wine has flavours of toasted almond, coconut, and brown sugar, as well as juicy fruit including tropical pineapple, nectarine, and Red Delicious apple. The wine is fermented and stored in tiny oak barrels, mostly French, and has a creamy, mouth-coating texture thanks to twice-week lees stirring and 45 percent malolactic fermentation. Scallops with a lemon-butter sauce, crab cakes, oven-roasted chicken, or fettuccine Alfredo go well with this enticing Napa Valley Chardonnay.
