Hill Family Estate Napa Valley 2017 Chardonnay 750ml

The 2017 Hill Family Estate Reserve Chardonnay is a beautiful, elegant wine that demonstrates both the cool climate heritage of Chardonnay and the benefit of outstanding sites for Chardonnay. The wine was barrel fermented with Montrachet yeast and then matured for eight months in French oak barrels, with no issues during malolactic fermentation and battonage every two weeks to add depth and character. Before bottling, it was racked to stainless steel barrels for two months. Aromas of peach, pineapple, vanilla, and toasted hazelnuts pervade the 2017 Reserve Chardonnay. Peach jam on buttery pastry aromas develop on the entry, which are supported by a rich midpalate. The finish has a rich balance in the centre and a mature satiny texture on the outside.
