Barrell Craft Spirits Barrell Cask Strength American Vatted malt whisky pays true quaffable homage to some of America’s most notable malt whisky producers. With big hitters like Balcones Distillery and MGP as some of the key forces brought on board for this single malt whisky, it’s no wonder it has become one of BCS’ most creative malts to date. Released in August 2019 and aged for between 1.5 and 8 years, American Vatted has a cask strength of 117.5 proof with a mash bill of 100% malted barley. The nose is a plethora of licorice layered with baking spices, raisins, and puffs of ethanol-hued smoke. The palate offers ribbons of chocolate drizzled tobacco leaves, toasted malt, and aged oak frosted in buttery caramel.
